Charity Partner Fundraising Opportunity
Pacers Running Stores wants to help you raise money for your charity training program! Volunteer for the Crystal City Twilighter 5K and we will donate to your fundraising goal for your fall race/marathon.
This program is only open to the following partner charity groups:
· Team in Training
· American Cancer Society
· Team Unforgettable (Alzheimer’s Association)
· Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk
· Team Pancreatica
· OAR/DC Fit
Participant volunteers must be in current and good standing with one of the aforementioned training programs and must be fundraising for a Fall 2008 marathon or distance event. Eligibility requirements are subject to change.
How does the fundraiser program work? It’s easy! Sign up for any of our volunteer slots and we will donate $40 in your name to your fundraising program. You can register for as many non-overlapping slots as you want. You will also receive two chances for $500 towards your charity fundraising goals! See below for details.
Register early as these slots will fill fast! Miss out or want to run? Individuals in the aforementioned training programs who register for the race will also be entered into the $500 raffle for their fundraising activities. Certain restrictions apply; see below for details.
How to register for volunteer slot:
1. Review the volunteer matrix for available volunteer slots (first come, first serve!)
2. Pick your three preferred volunteer slots
3. Forward your preferred volunteer slots to tiffany@runpacers.com; be sure to include: Your name, race day telephone number, e-mail address, shirt size, and your training program and target race.
4. Your slot is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation from Tiffany
5. If your schedule changes, please alert Tiffany as soon as possible
6. Volunteer position availability may change based on race needs. The race reserves the right to alter, delete, or add volunteer positions.
7. Volunteers will be paid a flat $40 rate for all volunteer position with a 3-4 hour commitment.
8. Please submit a donation letter to Tiffany; donations will be made per your training programs preferred donation procedures within two weeks after the event.
Charity Partner $500 Raffle!
Pacers Running Stores will be donating $500 towards an eligible fundraising program! To be eligible for the raffle you must:
1. Be a current participant in good standing with any of the aforementioned training programs
2. Currently training and fundraising for a fall 2008 distance run
3. Provide a donation letter (if selected)
4. Volunteers: You must register for and participate in the volunteer position you were selected for. Please be sure to check in at volunteer check in for credit. Volunteers receive two raffle chances for the $500 fundraising raffle.
5. Runners: Charity partner runners who register for the event via the following procedures will receive one chance at the $500 fundraising raffle.
a. Charity runners must register online via active.com or at any Pacers Running Store by midnight Monday, July 21.
b. Individuals registering after Monday, July 21 will not be included in the raffle.
Program terms and eligibility requirements are at the discretion of the race organizers and may change at any time.
